Men's Housing
Our transitional housing provides the supportive opportunity for men to make meaningful change bond with their children focus on recovery and become self-sufficient again.
A UCLA study found that men are more likely than women to relapse because of a lack of social network. Men are often reluctant about participating in group therapy and 12-step meetings having a “masculine need” to do things on their own. When they don’t have a social support system they can turn to the old friends from their past life of addiction and self-destruction.
Having someone to turn to for comfort and advice is key to a successful recovery and our transitional housing, along with adjunct support services, provides the type of environment where healing can begin.
